We cordially invite all interested individuals and drill teams in the states listed above to the


FIRST OFFICAL REGIONAL SET-UP MEETING

Of the United States Equestrian Drill Association (USEDA), Southeast (SE) Region 7 to:

Regional Director:  Shall report to the National USEDA Director.  Shall exercise general supervision over SE Region 7 of the USEDA, and shall render a report annually at the close of term.  The Regional Director shall preside at their Regional meetings (at least one annually) and shall appoint all their regional committees.  Shall coordinate with all SE Region 7 State Directors and organize one Regional overall drill team competition.  Shall provide National USEDA Secretary all their regional and state notifications for national dissemination as appropriate.  The Regional Director shall attend all state meetings within SE Region 7, and the national USEDA meeting.

State Director: (one per state) Shall report to SE Region 7 Regional Director.  Shall preside at their respective state meetings and shall appoint their state committees.  Shall organize at least one state drill team competition.  Shall provide their Regional Secretary all their state notifications for regional dissemination.  State Director shall attend their regional and the national USEDA meeting.

Assistant State Director: (one per state)  Shall report to SE Region 7 State Director.  Shall assist the State Director in their duties as needed.  Shall keep a record of their State meeting minutes.  Assistant State Director shall attend their state and regional USEDA meetings.

Regional Secretary:  Shall have the custody of all papers, records, and documents pertaining to SE Region 7 of the United States Equestrian Drill Association.  Shall keep a record of SE Region 7 meeting minutes, issue all notices, and prepare the correspondence.  Shall distribute minutes to each SE Region 7 teams and members within thirty (30) days following the meeting by email, fax or mail.  A copy to be provided to USEDA National Office.

Regional Treasurer:  Shall have control of SE Region 7 financial accounts and make receipts and disbursements, and shall perform all other duties assigned.  Shall prepare a financial report at the end of the current year.  Regional Director and Treasurer shall sign checks.

Voting Procedures:  USEDA Membership is NOT required at this meeting.  Each team will have 10 votes, cast by one team member.  Business associates and Individuals not belonging to a team will have 1 vote.  Note:  Hereinafter, USEDA membership will be required for voting privileges.

If you are interested in serving in any of the above positions, you will need to have someone nominate you at the meeting.  You should be prepared to stand, tell a little about yourself (why do you want the job?), and briefly describe your qualifications for the position.
